Visit Our Valley
There’s something to be said for a place that’s full of ingenuity and authenticity. From planting the first Oregon Pinot vine and trailblazing biodynamic wine to picking fresh organic berries off the bush, the Willamette Valley creates real experiences that make a real difference.
The valley follows the Willamette River north to south for more than 100 miles from the Mt. Hood Territory east of Portland south to Lane County. It is a quilt of cities and towns that offer unique experiences for everyone, from rural enclaves that pop up between expanses of farms and fields, to serene college towns with historic inns and classic main streets, to cities alive with culture and heritage, including the state capital of Salem.
The Willamette Valley is a natural playground for outdoor enthusiasts and adventure-seekers. Just a stone’s throw in any direction lie waterways like the Molalla River Corridor, Silver Falls, the Willamette River and the wild and scenic McKenzie River. Whether an ideal voyage includes biking through covered bridges, white water rafting, running the famous routes of track & field stars, skydiving or meandering from tasting room to tasting room, Oregon Wine Country is ripe with adventure.
