An Eco-Friendly Valentine’s Day in Corvallis

Whether you are single, married, or in a relationship, Valentine’s Day is the chance to celebrate the ones you love. But, what do you do if you love the earth too? Corvallis offers plenty of fun things to do that won’t leave you or your date squirming at the thought of carbon-footprints.

Start your day at Tyee Winery just outside of Corvallis.  Not only does Tyee produce great local wines, but it is also a century farm and doesn’t use any pesticides.

Then, hail a Pedicab for a unique way to see town.  It is the only Pedicab service in Corvallis, and you can tour Corvallis neighborhoods, downtown, the OSU campus, and many other places for a $1 per minute or donation. To book a ride, call Dan Crall (owner and human-power source) at 541-609-8949.

After your ride, head over to Fireworks Restaurant and Bar. You will be treated to unique and delicious recipes made from organic food from local suppliers.  On Valentines Day, Fireworks will be hosting a Brazilian-style guitarist.

Finally, after a long day, check out the Harrison House Bed and Breakfast. Be sure to ask about their 15% off discount for those travelling in a hybrid or zero-emission vehicle.
