Events in Oregon Wine Country

No matter what time of year you’re coming to Oregon Wine Country, you’ll find plenty of things to see and do.
Wine + food pairings at Willamette Valley Vineyards

Summer is the season for outdoor adventures, summer concerts, and festivals galore. July is Oregon Craft Beer Month, when you can taste you way through the Willamette Valley’s multitudes of breweries and tap houses with special deals and pairings. It’s also the perfect season for summer berry picking and outdoor dinners. Serious Pinot noir enthusiasts can explore Oregon's most famous varietal at the world's best Pinot festival: the International Pinot Noir Celebration, held each July in the Willamette Valley.
In autumn, a year’s worth of work can be summed up in one word: harvest. Farmers and vintners alike celebrate the season with harvest parties, grape-stomping competitions, and huge food festivals. As the season winds down, be a part of one more fall event—Oregon Wine Country Thanksgiving. Every Thanksgiving weekend, Oregon winemakers invite guests in for a weekend of special tastings and celebrations at the end of the harvest season.
Winter brings with it winter adventures and truffle season. The Willamette Valley is home to the Oregon Truffle Festival, known as one of the finest truffle experiences in the world. During the month of January, foodies flock to Oregon Wine Country for truffle hunting expeditions, truffle dinners, and a world-class truffle marketplace. In the mountains the surround the Willamette Valley, outdoor-lovers can escape to a wonderland of skiing, snowboarding, and winter hikes.

In the spring, Oregon vineyards are coming alive with buds and fresh vegetables and berries are appearing in farmers markets. May is Oregon Wine Month, and you’ll find special events and tastings throughout the Willamette Valley all month long. The month-long celebration is capped off with Memorial Day Weekend in Oregon Wine Country, when nearly every vineyard in the valley throws open its doors for barrel tastings and special tours.
