Wine & Fire: Court & Spark in Mt. Hood Territory
Sip

The Carlberg family keeps the home fires burning at their Estate vineyard, Satori Springs. The Christopher Bridge Tasting Room, approachable yet impressive with its high-ceilings and rustically exposed Oregon timber beams, is a welcoming on a brisk winter day. The hearth offers meticulously handcrafted and uniquely expressive Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Muscat along with their wood-fired oven baked breads and a tall brick fireplace by which to enjoy them. Satori Springs Vineyard is LIVE certified with organic and biodynamic practices at its core. So court your sweetheart in good conscience and good taste at the Christopher Bridge tasting room, where the winter-warming flames are sure to put you in the mood.

Stay

At the Sandes of Time Bed and Breakfast. Dating back to the early 1900s, this two-story B&B delivers a dose of small-town charm from its hill-top perch. Sip lemonade on the porch swings in the summertime, or bite into afternoon appetizers in the glow of the living room fire when the weather is right. Enjoy free popcorn in the home theater before slipping under cozy comforters for the night.

Note: The "live" fire in the Christopher Bridge Wine Room heats up on Friday through Sunday from October through December and again after a winery hiatus, January through March. The Wine Room is heated using the winery's own-farmed wood, mostly large fir and maple logs. The wood-fired pizza oven also sees action on special occasions and for private events, and is always met with rave reviews.
