Celebrate Cellar Season

It's the coziest time of year in Oregon Wine Country. Cool, misty weather brings us indoors to the warmth of intimate tasting rooms where we can enjoy that first taste of the new vintage. Share the moment with talented winemakers who finally catch their breath and embrace the calm of this special season.

Visitors are treated to open country roads, quiet tasting rooms and casual one-on-one time with winemakers. The holiday rush gives way to irresistible fireplaces and mellow cellars where just-barreled wines come of age. There’s a quiet and contagious energy to the Cellar Season, from the neatly-pruned vineyard rows and moody sunsets to the newly invigorated winemaking community, fresh off another outstanding vintage.

Make the most of Cellar Season with a glass of Pinot noir at one of the Valley’s inviting tasting rooms and then stay at one of our cozy B&Bs or boutique hotels. Plan your trip and customize your perfect wine country visit.

Before you go:

  • Call ahead — During winter, many wineries hold different hours of business. It’s often a good idea to call ahead to confirm. With fewer options, things can fill up fast, so advance reservations are key
  • Visit TripCheck.com — With the valley’s varied elevations and topography, road conditions can change in a single drive. Be sure to check ahead to ensure the route is clear, and avoid setting out in inclement weather
