Grants Programs

As we have news and updates about Regional Cooperative Tourism Program (RCTP) grants, we will post that information here. You may also sign up for our industry e-newsletter to be notified directly about WVVA grant updates and other Willamette Valley industry news.

Our competitive grants are funded by the RCTP, created in 2016 by Travel Oregon. In March 2016, Oregon lawmakers passed HB4146, which—among other things—required Travel Oregon to invest 20% of statewide lodging taxes in RCTPs from Oregon’s seven designated tourism regions. WVVA serves as the designated marketing organization for the Willamette Valley region.

In addition to our competitive grants program, we wanted to share links to other grant programs that might help your business:

The Oregon Parks and Recreation Department offers the Recreational Trails Program, which develops, improves, or expands motorized and non-motorized trails and supporting facilities.

The Oregon Parks and Recreation Department also offers the Oregon Heritage Grant Program, which supports all manner of heritage projects—from historic building preservation to oral history projects (and more!).

The Ford Family Foundation awards grants to nonprofits in rural Oregon that work in several categories—including children programming, arts, education, and more.

The Reser Family Foundation awards grants connected to its four cornerstones: education, health, arts, and environment.

The Oregon Cultural Trust awards grants that support Oregon's cultural network and enrich our collective quality of life.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture offers Rural Business Development Grants to help create jobs and support economic development in rural America.
