Take a sip of small-batch ciders at WildCraft Cider Works’ reclaimed tasting room

WildCraft Cider WorksAs bottles of cider start to find themselves on more store shelves, it’s a pleasure to revisit unique craft efforts like WildCraft Cider Works. Their whole fruit fermentation idea is more of a philosophy than a fermentation style: revitalizing old orchards. Hand picking the perfect apples, pears, cherries, plums and other fruit in local Willamette Valley orchards that are up to 150 years old leads to rich flavors and delicious combinations that represent true local flavor.

The WildCraft tasting room is a treat unto itself, playing host to an array of refurbished and reclaimed assets lining its walls. From barstools made out of classic Ford Model-A axels to an old barn door that separates the fermentation area from the restaurant, you can feel the history surround you inside this tasting room as you sip away. They even recovered the original 2 x 4 ceiling beams that held the building together in its original design as a grocery warehouse.
