Plan your Fall Getaway

The long and winding Willamette Valley is known as Oregon's world-class wine region, and it offers plenty of sip stops for sure. But it also beckons with easy access to some of the most rewarding cultural experiences and outdoor recreation in Oregon.

A full picture won't come into view until you pull off the main roads and ease your foot off the pedal: cruising along quiet lanes with farms and nurseries, taking in historic city centers on foot, or hiking or cycling through seemingly endless trails under covered bridges or to misty waterfalls.

If it is a memorable day trip you are looking for, there are enough winding rivers, covered bridges, and scenic waterfalls to fill a month of Sunday drives. This fall we recommend you stay the weekend and attend one of our famous craft brew fests or hit up a hot spring or two - fit the right one for you here. There are plenty of hotels, but also sleepy tipis, vintage trailers, farm and vineyard stays to rest and restore.

Discover restaurants, breweries, places to stay and more in the itineraries below or in our visitors guide. Use our map explorer and wine pages to find go-to destinations and build your own customized trip.

If you are researching wineries in a specific area view our wine resources page for additional information from our winery partners.

Once you get to the Willamette Valley, the hard part isn’t finding something to do. It’s finding a reason to tell your friends back home that you aren’t leaving.
