The Willamette Valley has always been a place that's approachable, welcoming and genuine. As we look forward to welcoming guests back to the place we all love to call home, it is important to recognize our shared responsibility and respect for the health and safety of our locals, communities and environment.

That's why we launched the Willamette Valley Responsible Reopening commitment. The industry-led effort supports and encourages businesses to make specific commitments that showcase a true Valley-wide message of unity, care and excellence.

To date, nearly 200 businesses have pledged to make these Willamette Valley Responsible Reopening commitments. (If you're interested in joining the growing number of partners for a safer Willamette Valley, learn more about—and sign up for—the Responsible Reopening campaign here.) Those commitments include:

When you return to Oregon Wine Country, your favorite wineries, restaurants, hotels, and B&Bs will look—and feel—a bit different. As small businesses work to keep you safe, the Oregon Restaurant and Lodging Association (ORLA)—our partner in that industry—has released its Commitment to Safety Checklists for both lodging and restaurants members. Each of the detailed checklists cover commitments to cleanliness, signage, employee health, and guest considerations.

The checklists—separate from the Responsible Reopening campaign but part of a broader, Valley-wide commitment to safety—include a variety of safety measures that partners can take, such as:

Restaurant and lodging partners that complete the ORLA detailed checklists receive a Commitment to Safety Seal to prominently display for customers and employees.

We're proud to partner with ORLA on the Responsible Reopening campaign, and encourage lodging and restaurant partners to utilize both campaigns if applicable.

MASKS ARE REQUIRED IN INDOOR PUBLIC PLACES IN MARION AND POLK COUNTIES.

Our Responsible Reopening campaign was developed in response to the coronavirus pandemic and in conjunction with the safe reopening of businesses throughout the region. These practices align with the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) and Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines, but have been elevated and supported by all of these regional partners and businesses:
